Oral Appliances
Removable oral appliances have many uses in dentistry. The most common is an occlusal guard or a night guard. Millions of people grind their teeth in their sleep. This creates a tremendous amount of destructive force to both the teeth and the supporting bone. This could lead to worn down teeth , loosening of the teeth , and even cracking teeth. Once a tooth cracks the treatment can range from a filling to a root canal and crown to an extraction . A night guard is worn at night to protect the teeth from the forces of tooth grinding. Other appliances can be worn to prevent snoring and to also help with sleep apnea. The procedure for making an oral appliance is very simple. Impressions are taken and the lab does the rest. No needles and no drilling

Teeth cleaning is a regular dental procedure that is meant to clean out any tartar or plaque, in order to protect the teeth and gums. It is recommended that you receive a teeth cleaning service once a year in order to reduce your cavities. Set up an appointment today to get started on your routine maintenance!
Teeth Whitening is a cosmetic procedure in order to make your teeth look cleaner and whiter. Teeth whitening is not the same service as teeth cleaning. Teeth cleaning is meant to remove tartar and plaque in order to protect the teeth and gums from cavities or gum disease. Teeth whitening is just for cosmetic purposes however, we recommend if you haven’t had a teeth cleaning service recently, to get your teeth cleaned first.
We do offer fillings, but we will need to do an examination first. If you’re suffering from a toothache, or if you’ve been recommended a filling previously, give us a call to start an examination today! We will do an examination and x rays to identify any problematic teeth, and set up another appointment for the fillings. We offer both metal and composite fillings, so feel free to ask more about which filling may be right for you.
Invisalign is a popular orthodontic device that is designed to help realign your teeth without some of the downsides of regular braces. In order to start using Invisalign, you’ll need to come in for an examination in order to create the molds. The process will start by attempting to move the teeth slightly into the right direction for the first mold will be worn for approximately 1 to 2 weeks, in which the next successive mold will be required. After the process is completed and your teeth have been straightened, you will simply wear a retainer every night to keep your teeth in position.
Dentures provides prosthetic teeth to replace teeth that have had to be removed or missing because of damage to the teeth. Our dentures can be designed to replace one, multiple, or all of the teeth that are missing.
Regular dental checkups can protect your teeth from more serious issues and even tooth removal in the future. Regular teeth cleanings can also help prevent or eliminate plaque and ensure your teeth remain healthy.
The biggest way to ensure your kids are brushing their teeth is to set it as a regular routine and then supervise them as they do it. It also helps to buy toothbrushes and other products that are designed specifically for kids. Having child flavored toothpaste or softer brittled brushes can encourage kids to brush their teeth more regularly in the morning and continue doing so after they’re past the age where they’d need supervision.
Dental X-rays are pictures of teeth, bones and soft tissues located within the mouth or face that can aid your dentist in determining your needs or finding the right recommendations for you. While x rays do expose patients to some radiation, they are still safe, and we provide all safety equipment that you’ll need to limit your exposure. We follow all safety guidelines when using the x-ray machines to ensure your safety.
Yes. Fluoride has been criticized from non-medical commentators in the past, but fluoride has always been safe and continues to be one of the best minerals for promoting dental hygiene. Fluoride is effective at preventing tooth decay and cavities. Fluoride is a common ingredient in toothpaste. We may provide a fluoride treatment for you, which uses a far higher concentration of the mineral, in order to clean and protect your teeth after a cleaning or examination.
If you’re suffering from sensitive teeth, there are products on the market like sensitive teeth toothpaste. However, if that doesn’t work, we have several tiers of options to attempt to alleviate the problem. Our fluoride treatments can help rebuild the enamel and strengthen your teeth. We can also provide resin bonding treatment or surgical gum graft to assist with more serious issues. If all else fails or isn’t applicable, we may also provide a root canal to deal with issues in the tooth pulp itself. In order to find the right treatment, we suggest you make an appointment today in order to talk to us about what issues you might be experiencing.
